What is Olympic Weightlifting?

 

Olympic weightlifting is a sport focused on strength, speed, and technique. It consists of two lifts: the snatch and the clean & jerk. These movements train the entire body and improve power, coordination, and mobility.

 

At Northwest Davao City, Olympic weightlifting is coached by Coach Adela Tolentino Pijcke, a multiple-time World and European Masters Champion with decades of international competition and coaching experience.

 

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced athlete, everyone is welcome to join. Our coaching will guide you step by step to learn the lifts safely and improve your strength and performance.
